Point Pleasant Park is a popular hiking, biking, running and walking destination with beautiful ocean views and Oak, Ash and Maple tree lined routes. Located only 2.5km from downtown Halifax, it is a lively set of trails for residents of the HRM to easily access and enjoy year round. The trails of Point Pleasant Park are wide and well maintained, suitable for all fitness levels and are wheelchair accessible. Bring a picnic to enjoy lunch on one of its tables or benches overlooking the Halifax Harbour. Feel free to bring your four legged friends as Point Pleasant is a dog friendly park! When visiting Point Pleasant Park, be sure to check out the Prince of Wales Tower, a national historic site, and the Halifax Memorial, commemorating members of the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Army who were lost at sea.
